Led by Deena Schwartz, Esq., Director of NYC Guardian Initiatives.
During this workshop, you will learn about Article 81 guardianship and who qualifies. Here are some questions that will be answered during the workshop:
· Can Article 81 be pursued when someone is 17 to prepare for their turning 18?
· What can be done if someone with a guardian becomes capable of managing things on their own later? Can guardianship end?
· How can families prepare for substituting guardians if they die or become unable to act as the guardian?
